“Breathe” Charity Fund

Sayenko Kharenko’s partners Sergey Pogrebnoy and Michael Kharenko, together with Ukrainian businessmen Vyacheslav Lysenko and Yuriy Kryvosheya, established “Breathe” Charity Fund in April 2020.

The Fund’s founders joined their efforts in raising funds to provide financial assistance to Ukrainian hospitals, doctors and scientists who were struggling with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Ukraine.

After delving into the needs of Ukrainian hospitals that were not ready for such difficulties, the founders realized that Ukrainian health care facilities needed more systematic help than just for fighting the pandemic. Therefore, the “Breathe” Charity Fund expanded the program of assistance and cooperation with Ukrainian hospitals and made it more comprehensive. The Fund’s activities aim to solve the problems existing today and to prepare systematically for dealing with the issues that Ukraine can face.

Currently, the Fund is transferring all charitable donations and humanitarian aid to support the Ukrainian civilian population, including refugees and Ukrainian hospitals.

“We have never hyped up our charity projects. We started fundraising only at the beginning of the pandemic. Our partners and friends joined us. In a short period of time, we managed to raise more than UAH 3 million. More and more people were eager to join the fundraising. So, Michael and I, together with Yuriy and Vyacheslav, decided to join our efforts and create a charity fund”, says Sergey Pogrebnoy.

Yuriy Kryvosheya adds: “It is a great honour for me to create the synergies with my partners and friends and together bring about real changes to our society.”
